Chapter One: The Fall of the East Tennessee Ghostbusters

August 11, 2004
Ghostbuster Omnibus Timeline Year Twenty-Two

Location: East Tennessee Headquarters

Deep Inside the Containment Unit

A lone being sat there as if he was biding his time, plotting his escape, and causing great harm towards his worst enemy, that being Dr. Andy Harnish.

One of his minions approached the being, with a timid tone to its voice, asking him,"Lord Ashram, is everything in motion?"

There was a long pause before Ashram addressed his minion," As I predicted, those mortals are too simplistic to understand that my mask is a part of me and that my essence is bound to it. I sense that it will make its way towards this wretched state within the matter of days. I can sense that I will have helpers foolish enough to bring my mask to me and I will have my REVENGE against that blasted DR. ANDY HARNISH!!" he exclaimed.

Elsewhere in ETGB HQ
The TV in the break room droned, though no one was actually watching it at the moment.

"And in other news, several ancient Sumerian artifacts that were discovered near cave systems in Southern Iraq will be donated to the Museum of Natural History in Knoxville. The artifacts predate 4500 BCE, and are being donated after extensive study by expert archaeologists. The donation will be hosted by Dr. Melissa Walcott."

The Eastern Tennessee Ghostbusters were out doing a local call by the nearby local restaurant; several Class:5s have wrecking havoc among the patrons as people hid in hear from the mayhem the ghosts were causing, such as plates being smashed on the floor and spiritual food fights with one another.

This was all halted upon the arrival of The Eastern Tennessee Ghostbusters. The three men stepped inside of the restaurant while the ghosts stood there looking at them, not knowing what to do at the moment.

"It's a shame that your cousin is out west at the moment," Dr. Bill Rollow stated towards Brandon Harnish, the younger cousin of Dr. Andy Harnish.

"Sure is," Brandon confirmed. "He'd love this." he added as he switched on his pack. "Time for you ghosts to learn some damn manners." he added as he launched a capture stream towards the closest one. His other teammates did the same and within the matter of time, one by one they were able to capture the ghosts with ease.

Once they were done, the owner stepped out with a sigh of relief as he addressed them,"Thank you for much!," he exclaimed,"You can have your choice of dinner, it's on me!" he smiled assuringly towards them.

"Sounds good," Dr. Goben says, while he was calculating the bill for this job .

Once their business was done, they did receive several more calls throughout the day and with each job they completed, the longer the day seemed to drag on. By the end of the day, the three men pulled their vehicle into their headquarters; they all dragged themselves inside, drained and exhausted.

"Mindy?" Brandon called out to her.

"Yes, Brandon?" Mindy Baxter, the Client Administrator, replied.

"Hold all of our calls, it's been a long day..." he trailed off heading towards the bed.

"Sure thing, Brandon," she told him, "By the way, we do have someone that is interested in becoming a new recruit, he seems qualified."

"I'll deal with it in the morning." Brandon called out before heading off to bed for a thankfully completely uneventful evening.

August 12
When the morning came, Brandon woke up and got himself ready for the day as he would check the list for any calls until he remembered that Mindy told him that they had someone interested in being recruited for the line of work, so he called the person up and scheduled an interview for him. Once the man arrived for the interview and answered all the questions as best he could manage and with that, the man was able to get the job.

The man was named Seth Gamble, a fair young man, mid to late 20s and fresh out of college. He has extensive studies in archaeology, specially in Sumerian culture. His steely blue eyes looked towards Brandon Harnish with calm demeanor; he was eager the learn the ropes of the occupation.

It wasn't long that Brandon and the rest of the team showed Seth Gamble the routines of their organization and how to properly use all of their equipment, including their Ecto Containment Unit as Seth Gamble was a quick learner and had a good memory as well.

While they were going over everything with their newly hired recruit a limo along with a police patrol pulled outside their headquarters's driveway. Mayor William Ashe, mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee stepped out of the limo and made his way inside their establishment.

"Hiya Ghostbusters," he greeted them,"Listen I have a personal request for all of you." he suggested.

"Such as?" Brandon asked

"I personally ask for your personal protection for The Museum of Natural History in Knoxville since I have been getting various reports of supernatural sightings. I figured that it would be best that y'all attend the ceremony since these artifacts that were recently discovered are said to be supernatural in origin. I'll make sure that you will have some extra payment thrown your way for your troubles." Mayor Ashe explained to them.

"I can't say why not? Mayor Ashe, you got yourself a deal." Brandon agreed to the offer.

The Mayor was pleased with their interaction as he would eventually leave after he discussed the details about the ceremony.

Seth listened to their conversation as he stood, he could hear the bellowing sounds of Ashram echoing through his mind. "Good...just as I have planned..."

Throughout the day, they did have a few calls, mainly minor stuff and for some reason, retrieving a cat from a tree. Despite everyone's chagrin. Brandon calmly walked the cat towards the little girl as he handed it towards her. "Thanks, Mister." the little girl called out to him.

"Sure thing." he told the little girl before getting into their vehicle and drove away, screaming in his thoughts about this situation.

As the day rolled by they headed back towards their headquarters in order for them to get ready for the ceremony in Knoxville, Tennessee.

As their time was focused on getting themselves ready for the event. Seth Gamble was trusted to take care of the captured ghosts from today's bust. Heading downstairs towards their Ecto Containment Unit, Seth immediately started to place the traps inside the compartment where the captured spirit was channeled into the unit; he intentionally did the procedure wrong in order to cause a breach inside the system, causing the Ecto Containment Unit to overload as the alarm systems go off, causing everyone to stop what they were doing and started to rush downstairs.

"Seth! What the Hell is going on!" Brandon shouted as his eyes grew wide, seeing Ashram appearing out of the Ecto Containment Unit, standing before him. The robed figure stood there for the moment, taking everything in. His hateful gaze focused on all of the three Ghostbusters before he could launch a series of attacks against them, knocking them all unconscious before grabbing them all and sending them outside of their headquarters. He didn't want them dead...just yet, only to send a message to Dr. Andy Harnish.

The three Ghostbusters and Mindy ran from the building, trying to get to safety while their headquarters was destroyed from the implosion of their once intact Ecto Containment Unit as all of the spirits they have captured over the years have now escaped, so they could wreck havoc all over the state of Tennessee.

"It is time to reclaim what is rightfully mine." Ashram stated as he teleported himself and Seth Gamble away from the disaster site.

The Museum of Natural History
Knoxville
Mayor Ashe was standing here with Dr. Melissa Walcott, waiting for The Eastern Tennessee Ghostbusters to arrive as he requested of them. Looking at his watch he muttered,"Where the Hell are they?"

Dr. Walcott could sense how tense the Mayor was becoming. "Maybe they are just running a little late." she insisted, placing her hand on his shoulder in order to calm him down. "All of the artifacts have to be unveiled to the public eye over all."

"Let's hope so." Mayor Ashe looked towards her until the sounds of shock and screaming could be heard as he hurried looked towards the crowd.

They saw a dark robed figure making his way towards them as the Mayor paused in shock, feeling the intensity radiating from this robed being as he noted the new recruited Ghostbuster walking beside the being. What is going on here? Mayor Ashe thought to himself as he could feel the sweating beading down his brow, slowly backing away while Dr. Walcott just stood there for the moment.

Ashram being the more powerful being rushed towards the Mayor with his hand reaching out towards Mayor's neck, wrapping around tightly. "Dignity...dear Mayor." the being coldly tells him,"You have something that belongs to me." Ashram declared.

Turning towards Dr. Walcott,"Will you do the honors, my dear worshiper." Ashram's eyes glared towards her as she silently nodded her head and proceeded to open to the crate that contained the Masque of Ashram.

"As you wish, my master." Dr. Walcott says as she grabbed the item in question and handed it to Ashram.

"Oh my God! Melissa?!?! How could you?!?!" Mayor Ashe questioned her, seeing her and Seth Gamble kneeling before Ashram, revealing their matching cult tattoos on the side of their wrists, which was easy to hide.

"They are merely pawns for my plans for revenge, Mayor Ashe." Ashram stated as he started to place his own Masque upon his face, showing off the doll-like appearance, feeling his power started to surge through his being.

"Behold!" Ashram demanded as he extended his arm towards Dr. Melissa Walcott and Seth Gamble; the two starting to glow mystically while Ashram chanted in Sumerian and within a flash, both worshipers were immediately absorbed into him, draining their lives while their skeletal remains fell on the floor. In shock, Mayor Ashe fainted in Ashram's grasp.

"Revenge is mine...Dr. Andy Harnish ... .be ready, I'm coming for you!"

Chapter Two: The Fall of The Ghostbusters: West Coast.

The Early Morning Hours of August 12, 2004
Ghostbusters Central West
Los Angeles, California

Dr. Andy Harnish was having a rough night, having several series of nightmares, each one was more intense than the other. Each one he was having, he was alone with no one to help him out or save him.

The most intense one was him being surrounded with a sinister, nightmarish laughter, a familiar laugh all the same, in this particular nightmare, he found himself facing off against Ashram, who continued to mock and torment him. The other only odd part of the nightmare with Ashram standing there laughing at him with him doing the finger dipping itself into his other hand in the shape of a circle, causing Dr. Andy Harnish had an odd look on his face before the nightmare was over.

Once morning came around, everyone inside the Ghostbusters: West Coast building started to stir themselves awake as they were starting to go throughout their day and their mundane routines as they all noticed Dr. Harnish slowly walked downstairs as he dragged himself towards the kitchen table. "Morning everyone," he grumbled as he poured himself cereal in the nearby bowl as he grabbed himself some milk that was left on the table. He poured the milk into the bowl as he quietly started eating his breakfast.

"Everything okay?" Dr. Joey Williams asked Andy while fiddling with the pen he'd intended to use doing some morning writing.

Andy just looked towards Joey, stating,"It sure is.." he tone grew more annoyed while he looked at his cereal for a moment before taking another bite of his meal.

"Are you sure?" Joey asked him before he headed to the living room.

"I said I am fine, Joey!" Andy's tone grew much sharper than before as he glared towards Joey. Joey shrugged, dropping the subject all together while he went outside, writing down whatever came to mind, possibly something comedic in nature

Dr. Kyle Stevens looked towards Andy as he looked at him for the moment. "Didn't get much sleep last night, huh?" he asked him, looking at him closely, seeing the dark circles along Andy's eyes.

"I'll be fine, Kyle." Andy said, slowly at first until he let out a long sigh for the moment as he collected his thoughts for the moment, seeing that everyone was looking towards him as he finally broke down as he blurted out,"I am having these horrible nightmares, three in one night." he stated as he placed his spoon into the cereal bowl.

"Not so nice to see others having problems sleeping..." Dr. Fritz Baugh muttered, then asked Andy. "What kind of nightmares are you having, Andy?"

Yeah, like you need my problems on top of your own right now...Andy thought as he regarded the older man. But you did ask...

"It's about...about me and Ashram," Andy admitted to all of them,"I've been having nightmares about me being tormented by him." he stated,"Hell, even in the last sequence, he gave me the 'finger in the hole' visage." Andy confessed as he noticed that everyone was giving him some odd looks while hearing what he just revealed to them. Andy couldn't help but feel his eyebrows starting to furrow at the moment.

The Grand Collector

Later In The Morning

Dr. Jeffrey Nash had spent time at The Grand Collector comic book store as he sorted out the pull lists and organized the gaming tables for the card players; those who were into larping always had to play their game outside the establishment.

Once that task was done, he started to go over the inventory throughout the store. After collecting his thoughts for the moment, there was something that wasn't sitting well with him as his intuition started to surface.

Am I just nervous because of that weird letter Sub Zero sent me? Man, that was a kick in the head, wasn't it...

Jeff heard the sounds of panicked screaming and chaos happening outside the Grand Collector as sinister laughter could be heard by everyone nearby. Jeff let out a long sigh. "Fucking now what?" He cursed as he stopped what he was doing and leaned forward, seeing a dark, robed figure causing problems with the patrons as they ran off screaming in fear.

It wasn't long after that the front doors of the comic book store flew open as the patrons inside stood in fear, afraid to make a move as the being's eyes scanned the room, negativity filling the room. "So many nerds..." the being spoke as his attention locked onto Jeff, moving closer to Jeff with sinister intent as the patrons ran out of the building, leaving Jeff alone against this being.

Jeff was alone with the being. "You have the stench of Dr. Andy Harnish all over you, mortal!" he growled as the being extended his hand towards Jeff, attempting to snare him in his grasp.

"That doesn't give you the excuse to trash my store and scare away my customers." Jeff firmly said as he stared the being down, studying him closely.

Jeff managed to use his martial arts training to side step the being's grasp, using his momentum to back away closer to the door. With quick thinking, Jeff raised his hand, making arcane gestures and causing a spiritual warding against the being.

The being could sense what was going on as his eyes glared towards Dr. Nash through its masque. ‘So you know the arcane arts, mortal..." it stated,"Very impressive..." The being added,"Your spiritual ward may protect you...but not your establishment!" The being bellowed and with a gesture of the being's wrist, the back half of the comic book caught a blaze, causing the flames to grow rapidly causing massive damage inside the comic book store.

With no choice, Jeff was forced to make an escape, running through the front door as he watched The Grand Collector begin to burn to the ground as the being he encountered had used this opportunity to leave.

If that thing's after Andy, this ain't over by a long shot...

Meanwhile, back at Ghostbusters: West Coast Headquarters.
Dr. Andy Harnish was sitting in the kitchen, trying to catch up in his sleep as he heard the phone ringing off the hook, disturbing his much needed rest as he found himself making his way towards the phone.

"Hello...Ghostbusters: West Coast. This is Dr. Andy Harnish. How may I assist you?" he tiredly asked.

"Hello, good sir. This is Dr. Brendan R. Frenc..."

The caller was interrupted when Andy hung up on them.."Not interested." he grumbled as he headed back to the table, attempting to close his eyes before he heard the phone ring again. Andy's eyes shot open, causing him to get even more irritated. "This better be pretty damn good..." he grumbled as he answered the phone, tightening his grip. "Hello...Ghostbusters: West Coast. This is Dr. Andy Harnish. How may I assist you?" he asked the caller.

Within a few minutes, he wrote down everything that caller told him, muttered to himself while he got off the phone and headed downstairs from the kitchen.

He had a funny feeling about everything that was happening as he found the rest of the team and filled them in. "We just got a call from Mrs. Selma Henderson reporting that there has been a massive disturbance coming from her daycare center just a moment ago."

"So what's actually happening over there?" Jeremy Hicks asked Dr. Harnish, wanting to know what they were in for this time.

Andy looked towards Jeremy as he stated,"Henderson's Child Care---there have been several reports of multiple voices, objects moving around, doors slamming at random times, and the occasional vulgar words written on the dry erase boards." he explained as he showed them all the reports.

"Sounds like Saturday night around here." Jeremy quipped.

"That only happened that once." Andy retorted.

Henderson's Child Care
Some Time Later
Without much clue how many people they needed for the job, just about everyone they could spare, regardless of normal team assignment, geared up and went.

When they got to the building, they realized that it was much bigger job than they realized.

After arriving and piling out of ECTO-1N and ECTO-1S, the team gathered their gear and switched their packs on, feeling the vibrations from the pack becoming active. It didn't take long for their PKE Meters to start picking up a huge surge of paranormal energy.

"Hmm...it is worse than Mrs. Henderson thought." Dr. Fritz Baugh stated,"It appears we are dealing with a nasty Class:7 entity inside the daycare center, possibly demonic in nature, judging from these readings." he added, while adjusting his glasses for the moment.

"Who the hell cares, Fritz." Andy insisted,"Let's bust the damn thing." as he started to move towards the front door, his blaster in hand.

"Y'all deal with that and I'll take care of anyone that may be injured inside, Fritz." Dr. Stevens stated as he clipped his first aid kit and medical bag just in case.

The rest of the team headed towards the building until a huge gust of wind came rushing towards them, knocking them off guard for the moment as they all heard the sounds of dark, demonic laughter coming from within the daycare center. "COME FACE ME IF YOU DARE!!" the distorted voice challenged them.

"If you insist.." Andy said, very annoyed as he picked himself up from the ground. They all entered the building, weapons drawn with the exception of Dr. Stevens, who was tasked with aiding the injured as he followed behind them

They quickly searched the building, seeing the amount of ectoplasm and wreckage through the rooms.

"I don't like the looks of this." Leon Hogan stated as he looked around for the moment, but he had faith in his teammates defeating whatever was haunting the daycare center. It didn't take long as they found themselves in the gymnasium; it was small but was the biggest space for them all to witness whatever was tormenting the staff of the daycare center.

The demon laughed menacingly as he had the staff contained against the walls of the gymnasium until his senses caught the large gathering of men in khaki flightsuits approaching him. The demon's eyes narrowed towards the staff members while they trembled with fear before facing the team starting behind them. It was over seven feet tall and made of pure muscle.

"WRETCHED MORTALS!!!" the demon snarled as his cold, yellowish eyes narrowed through its red hues looking towards them. "YOU DARE FACE AGAINST ME!? I AM DARMOND THE TORMENTOR!!!" his distorted voice bellowed towards them.

"Yeah, yeah so how much little dick energy are you packing?" Andy mocked the demon, further enraging the demon as the being roared and moved towards them, snarling with rage as Darmond The Tormentor raised his hand as it glowed with mystical power, ready to launch his spell towards them.

The demon's horns grew with power, making him look more like a demonic goat as his body glowed with mystical symbols as well. He reared his hand back towards them, chanting in the mystical arts while there was a dark, mystical aura surrounding the demon's frame. With its glaring yellow eyes focused only on them for the moment and without warning the sinister being thrust his hand towards the team as the reddish power came surging through his fingertips, causing tremendous torment and pain towards the Ghostbusters as they screamed in pain, falling down on their knees for the moment.

"Shit that hurts!" Dr. Harnish grumbled as he focused towards the demon, laughing menacingly towards them.

"Yeah, tell me about it." Jeremy added while holding his sides, trying to pick himself back up.

Fritz looked at the whole situation as he looked towards Leon Hogan for the moment as they were thinking at the same thing. "Aim for its horns." They both thought as they both struggled to stand up as eventually the team rose up before the demon as it paused for the moment.

"Guess you've never heard the term 'burn what held you', huh?" Leon Hogan said, while shooting his stream towards Darmond The Tormentor while Fritz followed in suit as their two streams managed to hit both the demon's horns as they both fall off, causing Darmond The Tormentor shank to half his normal size.

"No! This can't be!" Darmond's voice trembled before them as the rest of the team snared him into their tethers. The demon was caught and unable to move allowing Michael Chad slide his trap underneath the demon and with one motion with his foot stamping the trap pedal, the golden glow from the trap was able to suck Darmond The Tormentor down into the trap's grip as the trap's doors slammed shut afterward.

"What a shitty voice." Joey quipped as he looked around towards everyone else as he was going to write up the bill for the job while Kyle checked over the staff.

With a quick look over, Kyle took care of any visible wounds that they may have from whatever ordeal they had gone through this afternoon. "All of you are banged and bruised up, but with a few days rest and light activity, y'all should be fine." Kyle advised the daycare staff.

"We will." Mrs. Henderson says to Dr. Stevens,"Thank you all, Ghostbusters." she added as she watched Dr. Joey Williams approaching her with the bill from the job. It was a fair amount, but not anything that will hurt the daycare's business. The staff was just grateful that it was all over.

Meanwhile at the Ghostbusters: West Coast Headquarters.
It was lunchtime for the staff as they awaited the team's return.

"Should we get take out or should I cook something for you?" Dr. Nathaniel "Otter" Masterson, the team mechanic, asked Rose Prevost at her desk.

Rose had just been at the job a few days; a week earlier the team's founding Client Administrator, Chelsea Aberdeen, had suddenly and mysteriously quit. She had been recommended the job by GBI's OG Client Administrator, Janine Spengler. "Surprise me." she replied.

And to a one, all of her new teammates told her "When he was young Otter was something of ladies man. He thinks he still is. Guard yourself accordingly."

"AHA! I will make you my famous cheddar cheese burgers!" Otter cheered with such enthusiasm.

"Yay..." Rose mused with fake enthusiasm.

"I heard that!" Otter called out from the kitchen as the sounds of clanging of cooking trays and kitchen utensils.

Rose just sat there as she flipped through some channels on the tv; she stopped when the local news came reported the destruction of The Grand Collector, and she let out a shocked yelp.

"Are Kyle's cats acting up again?" Otter called out from the kitchen.

One of the cats, Mister Whiskers, who was cleaning his butt, looked up indignantly in Otter's direction.

"No, Otter!" Rose called back "It's..."

She was interrupted by the large hanger doors from their headquarters being ripped open as a dark, dolllike masked figure cloaked in black with the name "Dr. Harnish" attached to it and a Ghostbusters logo branded on his thigh moved closer, his hand extended out towards her.

Before Rose could say anything, Ashram chanted something in Sumerian, causing her to act as if she was in a trance. Seizing the opportunity, the being commanded her. "Now tell me where's Dr. Andy Harnish?" he demeaned with his narrow eyes glared towards her at the moment. "Dr. Andy Harnish is on a job right now and taking care of a disturbance at Mrs. Henderson's Child Care in San Fernando." Rose blankly replied to Ashram.

Otter not knowing what was happening, was listening to music while he was cooking in the kitchen, adding some extra seasoning to the meat as well. Humming to himself as it didn't take long for the cheddar cheese burgers to be cooked and ready to be served. "Alrighty lunch is now ready." he called out to her, not hearing any response from his coworker. "Rose? Did ya hear me?" he asked her as he placed her meal on her plate.

As he came out of the kitchen with her lunch in hand. "Are you taking a nap?" He stopped in his tracks seeing the dark figure standing before Rose. The being turned his attention towards Otter and simply held his free hand out, now glowing with power as he commanded Otter. "Sleep!" The being's spell came into full effect as Otter was struck by a sleeping spell.

"You got it.." Otter slowly trailed off as he fell onto the fall with a resounding thud.

Ashram's grin grew as his sinister plans that were starting to unfold before him. He commanded Rose to take him to the Containment Unit.

Kyle's two cats ran past them both, heading towards vacant hanger doors, trying to find safety. "Stupid cats!" Ashram growled as he found himself staring towards The Ecto Containment Unit as he coldly commanded her. "Shut it down!"

"I..I..." she struggled against his control. "...I'm new...haven't been shown all of the procedures yet..."

"Damn it all..." Ashram snarled. "Certainly the destruction of this prison, much like the one I escaped from, would bring much misery to Harnish. But there are other ways..."

He released the control over Rose, and a nimbus of dark light surrounded him.

Papers and small tools started to fly around. A wind started to blow.

The wind began to swirl all through the building.

Larger objects. Furniture. It all started to fly around.

Ashram laughed evilly as he disappeared from the scene all together, leaving Rose alone with the aftermath. With everything coming back to her, she was confused for the moment and finally seeing what was going on. He's tearing the place apart!!! Rose had no choice but to make a run for it as fast as her legs could carry her, seeing the unconscious Otter laying on the floor.

Thinking quickly, she grabbed Otter and dragged him off to safety as they barely made it outside their headquarters as every window exploded outward, disgorging furniture, equipment, personal items, and various bits of burning debris.

The Containment Unit might not have been breached. But the rest of the building was basically destroyed.

"What the fuck happened?" Rose heard, turning to see Jeff Nash having just pulled up in time to see the disaster.

With tears rolling down her eyes, Rose looked towards Jeff as she replied,"I was controlled by this being that just destroyed the hanger doors of our headquarters and all I remember was finding myself in the central room and everything started to fly all over the place." she explained to him as she covered her face, crying from the shock of it all.

Otter started to stir himself awake as he looked around, seeing that he was outside as his gaze shifted towards Jeff and then back to Rose crying. "Umm..what did I miss?" he asked until he turned his head towards their newly decimated headquarters before them as he paused for the moment as he sighed,"Well, shit!" he stated as he just sat there.

"You both should stay close and just in case the fire department shows up--I need to call the rest of the team." Jeff advised Rose and Otter as Kyle's two cats came to them at the moment with Maggie rubbing herself towards Rose's leg in order to comfort her.

Will picked the right week to go visit Maryland... Jeff thought ruefully to himself as he dialed Fritz's number.

Meanwhile over at Mrs. Henderson's Child Care.
The team gathered all of their gear and headed out towards their vehicles as Fritz could feel his phone starting to ring. "Hello?"

He heard Jeff's voice coming from the only side. "Fritz.." Jeff paused for the moment. "It's bad, Fritz. Our headquarters just got trashed."

Fritz paused for the moment as he blurted out. "What?!?!"

"From what I have gathered Rose was mind controlled by this powerful being that wanted her to shut down the Containment Unit. He didn't succeed in that, so he settled for just completely trashing the place. Sounds like the same fucker that just blew up my comic store." he explained to Fritz.

The others looked towards him to explain what he was hearing, and then Dr. Andy Harnish got a call. "Mindy from Tennessee?" He answered. "Hey, Mindy, long time no..."

"Andy, our headquarters was destroyed by Ashram!" She explained to him.

With his eyes growing wide he blurted out. "Oh, fuck me! Is everyone okay, at least?" He asked her.

Mindy replied to Dr. Harness. "For the most part, yes. They were attacked by Ashram."

Andy's brow started to furrow again, shaking from the anger he was about to let out. "How did Ashram escape our Ecto Containment Unit?" He asked Mindy.

"There were so many jobs brewing up, Andy. We had to hire extra help and we hired a man with excellent qualifications, so we hired him. It turned out to be a plot to trick us and well, he shut off our grid and let Ashram out!" Mindy replied to him.

"I..see..." Andy's eyes blinked for the moment while others were focused on him. His grip on the phone started to turn his knuckles white. "GOD DAMMIT!" Andy yelled with anger flowing through him, causing him to hurl his phone into the pavement, breaking it into a thousand pieces.

"Hold the phone, though it seems a little to late for that" Joey declared "Can someone mind telling the rest of us, what is going on?"

"Our headquarters was destroyed." Fritz replied still had Jeff on the phone.

"I'll see you there, Fritz." Jeff stated before getting off the phone.

Dr. Joey Williams and the rest of the group were in disbelief as he looked towards Fritz and then Dr. Harnish. "And what about you, Andy? What happened to you?"

"Same damn thing, Joey." Andy's eyes narrowed,"My home team's headquarters was destroyed by one our very first enemy, Ashram."

"If the same thing happens to both our headquarters, then this isn't a coincidence." Jeremy Hicks pointed out.

Andy groaned at the thought of it. "He has been obsessed with my destruction, guys." He chimed in. "Ever since he was caught by us twice, he has been craving revenge against me and my team ever since and now he's got it." He insisted.

Andy walked away from his teammates, called out to the sky. "ALL RIGHT, ASHRAM! YOU WANT REVENGE THAT BADLY, FUCKER?!?! WELL, HERE I AM!" He yelled.

"Andy, what are you doing..."

Kyle was interrupted by Ashram's voice. "AS YOU WISH!"

With a rippling effect the being known as Ashram appeared before them. "FINALLY VENGEANCE IS MINE!"

"Oh Ashypooh, you should know that the record between us is one-sided." Andy mocked despite his anger towards him, he still didn't see Ashram as a serious threat.

With the rage flowing through his very being, Ashram fist clinched as he growled towards Andy. "Oh dear Mortal, you will see what true pain this very day is!" With the power flowing through his doll-like mask with one wave of his hand, the demigod sent a mystical blast rushing towards the team, causing them to move out of the way, but not before Andy's personal vehicle, Ecto-ETGB-1 was destroyed from the impact of the blast.

"Well. fuck!" Andy cursed, ready to explode from all that was transpiring all around him. Turning to face the sinister being as he aimed his particle thrower towards Ashram, standing there beaming in all of the rage coming from Dr. Harnish.

"Fire!" Andy yelled as he let his particle stream blast towards the demigod, who stood there grinning towards them, only to see Ashram quickly dodging the blast, causing it to hit the team's ECTO-1N, blasting a sizable hole in the side of its frame.

The rest of the team began to fire their particle throwers towards Ashram, and the beams started to contain him. "YOU MORTALS THINK YOU CAN STOP ME!?!?" Ashram bellowed in anger and with one wave of his hand, he managed to knock the whole team down.

"Dammit that hurt." Peter Kong chimed in as the rest of the group started to pick themselves up. They all could see Ashram floating high into the air, focusing on Andy at the moment as his mask glowed with raw power, sending a flaming blast towards the Ghostbuster.

"Shit!" Andy said as he narrowly missed the blast being hurled towards him, only to hit the teams' ECTO-1S causing it to explode with parts of the vehicle everywhere.

One of the tires was sent soaring towards Fritz, who dove out of the way, but landed on his left ankle in an awkward way, and he groaned as he felt a stab of pain.

"Hang on, Fritz." Kyle called out as he made his way towards him, trying to get him out of the way, only to get pushed back by Ashram as he sent a gust of wind to knock everyone back.

With all of them down on the ground, Ashram slowly made his way towards him as he laughed towards the team, only focusing his attention towards Dr. Harnish. "So tell me, Dr. Harnish." He taunted him. "Tell me how it feels to see everything that you have worked for destroyed within an instant." The demigod slowly made his way towards Dr. Harnish, grabbing him by the throat as the being's narrow eyes looked deeply into his soul. "I should drain you of your very essence before your friends, what do you have to say about that?" Ashram asked Dr. Harnish.

"Oh no, you don't!" Joey called out as he fired his stream towards Ashram, knocking the demigod back and releasing Andy from his grasp. "Quick everyone, let's regroup!" he called out.

Everyone that was on the ground got themselves up. Fritz, with Kyle's help, joined the rest of the group inside the Child Care center.

Chapter 3: The Final Showdown Against Ashram.
Dr. Jeffrey Nash was driving as fast as he could in order to help out his teammates against the threat of Ashram; he brought everything he had in order to defeat this devastating menace. Thankfully the traffic was light for him to make it to the child care building as he managed to see the destruction of the two ECTOs before his very eyes. "Holy shit!" he stated as he passed by, seeing Ashram still in the parking lot looking towards the child care building.

Not wanting to give away his position, Jeff decided to park his vehicle a few blocks away in order to stay out of sight. Hoping that Ashram would be distracted for the moment, he parked his car and grabbed all of his gear as he made his way towards the team. He made his way towards the back of the building as he had no choice but to blast the lock off the door, making his way inside.

As for the team, Kyle was checking out Fritz's ankle. With his hand feeling around, seeing Fritz winching in pain for the moment. "You are gonna have to stay off this, Fritz."

"Someone creepy this way comes." Andy said as Jeff appeared before them.

Jeff shook his head towards him at the moment as he looked towards Andy. "Not a good time, Andy."

"Well, none of us have been having a great time, Creepy, so we're all in synch I guess." Andy managed to grin.

"We got to think about how we are going to defeat this asshole." Jeff pointed out.

"Tell me about it." Andy stated. "Ashram managed to destroy my home team's headquarters." he added as he looked over at Jeff for the moment.

"Then he blew up my comic store." Jeff added as he noticed Peter Kong's reaction.

"Well, damn. I was planning to get newest issue of Project: Power Wing . Issue #26. It's revealed that Capt. Lars Maverick is supposed to get married to Lt. Sally Kennesaw, but it's all an illusion caused by a parasite that was implanted into Capt. Maverick's brain." Peter Kong explained with everyone looking at him.

Kyle looked towards Fritz's ankle as he dressed it better so he could have stability just in case. "Just try not to overdo it." He advised him.

"Be sure to tell Ashram that." Fritz grumbled through gritted teeth as he tried to stand up for the moment. He managed to eventually start walking, but with an obvious limp.

"No ECTOs, no HQ. Why should we be worried?" Jeremy pointed out.

"We still got all of the stuff we're wearing at least." Leon pointed out. "And we know he ain't gonna stop until he's snuffed out Andy." He looked around and saw what all they had for equipment. "Robert, do you think there is a way to combine some of the components of our traps in order to make them more augmented?" Leon asked Dr. Robert Griffiths.

Robert placed his thumb under this chin for the moment as he looked around towards Fritz, Jeff, and Jeremy while thinking it all over. "I do believe it is possible, but it has never been tried before to my knowledge."

"Dangerous is what we do, isn't it?" Fritz pointed out with concern in his voice as he leaned forward, trying to put pressure on his sprained ankle. He could feel that he would be limited in movement, but it would have to do for now.

"Looks like we don't have a choice." Andy shrugged. He unclipped the trap from his proton pack

Michael Chad placed his trap on the table. ‘Here take mine."

"This should be enough..." Robert said as he started working on the idea. "Fritz, I need some help with the calculations....Jeremy, I need those hands of yours...I know you're good with them."

"But not in that way." Jeremy quipped, as they got to work.

As they were doing that, Jeff pulled up the TOBIN network on his PKE meter, researching everything he could find about Ashram. "From the myths, Ashram was banished by Anu, leaving him to exist with mortals where he developed a cult to worship him as they crafted a masque for him in order to bolster his powers. His cult was defeated by King Gilgamesh. With his defeat, his surviving cult members spread throughout the world." He explained to the team.

"I'll be out there as bait since I'm the one he wants." Andy said as he was ready to get this over and done with.

With their bit of techno-wizardry completed, Michael grabbed his trap as he looked towards them all. ‘Let's hope this works."

The Ghostbusters: West Coast team slowly walked out of the child care building, their packs armed and ready for Ashram.

"Ready to face your eternal doom, Mortals?" Ashram coldly asked them all as his eyes narrowed. He took note that one of them seemed to be limping, but his attention was mostly on the hated Dr. Andy Harnish.

"Not today, Ashypooh. You know how this will turn out. My record against you is nothing but one-sided!" Andy taunted him.

With rage flowing through him, Ashram raised both arms towards the team as the surge of mystical power flowed through his very being until he threw it at them in one blast.

The team managed to dodge out of the way as the mystical blast struck the ground, causing a small chasm.

The team scattered in different directions as the demigod lowering himself on the ground, making a bee line toward Andy. "I WILL ENJOY DRAINING YOUR SOUL, MORTAL!" He roared as he lunged toward Dr. Harnish.

WIth quick thinking by the team, they all managed to stop Ashram's assault, the positronic beams knocked the being back against the wreckage of their former vehicle, The ECTO-1S.

Ashram roared with anger as he was captured by their streams; he tapped into his masque's power as he waved his hand towards them, knocking them all back, just for a moment. They all saw him form an ectoplasmic shield that surrounded him.

"Shit." Andy cursed as they all got back up and he noticed that Fritz was moving to the side in order to relieve some of the pressure off his sprained ankle, adjusting himself at the moment, giving Ashram a chance to attack Dr. Harnish.

Once Andy turned around, he found himself in Ashram's clutches with his hand being wrapped around his throat. The demigod laughed as he looked towards Andy. Ashram's eyes glowed red through the masque as its power flowed through him. "So tell me, Mortal. How does it feel to be finally trapped like some lowly vermin?" He growled, his grip grew tighter. While he gasped for air, Andy winked towards Ashram as he gave a signal as he choked out the words. "Now!" He exclaimed.

Being in the right positions, the remaining team aimed their streams towards Ashram's masque. They scored a direct hit, and it shattered into pieces before the demigod's very eyes.

"Gotcha, Ashypooh." Andy mocked him, causing the enraged demon to toss his quarry into the wreckage of the Ecto-ETGB-1. Andy's proton pack absorbed most of the impact, but there was a very ugly, non-mechanical cracking noise

"ANDY!" Kyle shouted as he paused in disbelief; he hated to get out of position, but he needed to check on Andy. He made his way over to him, but was knocked towards the ground, hitting it hard. "Oh goodness." He groaned in pain.

With the advantage in his favor, Ashram sent another wave towards the rest of the team, knocking them back again as his focus returned to the fallen Tennessee Ghostbuster, seeing that victory was in his grasp. He wasted no time bee-lining back towards Dr. Harnish, reaching down in order to lift him up with his eyes glared towards him. "Any last words, Andy Harnish?" His voice hissed at him as he began to slowly drain out Andy's essence.

"Yeah..." Andy groaned through the pain flowing through his body. "3 and 0 record, bitch!" He taunted him, catching Ashram off guard.

"NOW!!!" Jeff shouted, and every Ghostbuster that could ensnared Ashram in containment streams. This gave Michael Chad the chance to throw the augmented trap towards the demigod as it landed underneath him.

Ashram bellowed in Sumerian as he reached towards Michael Chad, but Chad was quick enough to stamp the foot-pedal.

The trap howled as it emitted an angry red containment field, pulling the snarling demigod into its innards. The trap seemed to growl as it snapped shut.

Everybody held their breath for a moment until the trap stopped shaking, it's lights indicating successful confinement, as it smoked profusely.

"That was for my fucking comic store." Jeff said, giving the trap a middle finger.

Kyle moved over towards Andy. "Stay still, buddy." He says to him as he felt around Andy's back as he looked down in silence for the moment. "It doesn't look good--we need to get him to a hospital. Fast.

The reign of Ashram was finally over.

They'd won. But it didn't feel like victory.

Dr. Venkman:

As yesterday's report showed, the repair of our headquarters is well underway. The design work has been finalized, and Ms. Prevost, Dr. Griffiths, and Dr. Masterson agree that, at this point, all that is required is field supervision, which they are more than capable of providing.

All of the remaining equipment has been certified operational, and the repairs to the ECTO-1N were completed yesterday.

Dr. Venkman, I'm requesting some time off. I know this is not the best time--but you are quite aware of why I'm making this request. I've gotten my professional obligations taken care of for the moment, and this pressing personal matter now screams for my attention. I would like to leave tomorrow (September 18) and will require at least two weeks.

I owe you a great deal for your support over the last year, Dr. Venkman. I hope you will grant me this request.

Fritzy:

Dude, I know what it's like--I've been there. If I'd had as clear a head twenty years ago as you do now my life would have been awesome a lot sooner.

We owe you a lot for stepping into this mess you were left--leave everything to Otter, Rose, and Robby, everything'll be fine while you resolve what needs to be resolved, and pronto.

Oh yeah...I've FedExing over the official contract naming you the new Franchise CEO. I'd recommend signing it now instead of waiting until you get back--the vacation pay grade for a Franchise CEO is better than a Field Captain :P
